Well; here I am; PARIS
Llegue el viernes en la manana a la Gard Norte: Me tomo como una hora figurarme donde encontrar informacion, metro; etc: Me dio un ataque de COATLICUE marca diablo; bien digo que NOPAL-e-france....
Quiet the experience to arrive to a place where i can:t communicate: I finally found my way around and took the Metro all the way to Chateau Vincennes where I arranged my accomodation; it,s a suburb of Paris; like North Vancouver: When i arrived to the station there i walked a lot; pulling my suitcase trying to find the place; i started cursing but i found it: The apartpent is really nice and big and comfortable so even though its out of the way it!s good as i have a little house for myself and it only takes 12 min by metro to Paris and 10 min walk from the station to the hotel. The only thing is that at night is very quiet so i have to walk really fast and my poor legs have a very short stride, but its safe and its really nice: They have a market every Friday; Sunday and Tuesday where they sell all sorts of things like scarago; fancy cheeses; cool clothes; fruit; fish etc:
After i settled in my temporary home i went straight to see the Eiffel Tower: I was expecting to see the tower as i ca,e out of the station; but NOTHING:: so I decided to walk left; ,ore or less a block and suddenly::::boooooo::::::: that was miss eiffel surprising me::::::::i was very emotional about it; it,s really awesome; so i had all this weird feelings ; awe because it was impressive - it was all illuminated and really what i imagined; and then i felt so sad; Paris; me; the tower: me, myself and I while waching all this couples kissing and taking pictures; it stung what can i say; so it was bitter-sweet; but after that my mouth opened and havent closed it yet; what a magnificent city:::::more to come

Ooohh... I am so jealous. Pain au chocolate every morning!! you lucky girl. Ah.. Paris. I loved it. so many places to see. Go to the Moulin Rouge section (its Cheesy but fun), and Versaille is great, the Louvre, the Musee Dorsee which is fabulous, Pompidoue centre and Mono-Prix.. My favorite place. Plus all that perfume and lingerie. I can't wait to see what you come back with.
Well, bittersweet or not, we are all jealous of you right now. Enjoy yourself.

Caballito, no bittersweetness applies in Paris ever.....look at the architecture, the history, the feel of the city, that's why it's called La Ciudad Luz, the city of light !!! Get a metro pass, it's valid for the buses too, and go to Versailles NO MATTER THE COST !! There are some days that the museums are free, and you can get the 3 day museum pass for E49.
BY ALL MEANS also go to a night show, Crazy Horse or Lido, it is about the same and with your college ID (I'm assuming you're carrying it with you) you get a discount !! Stay in Paris as long as possible, the city never ends.
And if you don't get to understand french SPEAK SPANISH !! ELgato

Salut ma chère Caroline! Plus de feu à Paris? Eso quiere decir que si ya no hay incendios. Espero que no. Ha sido horrible. Así es que te has armado de valor y te has hecho toda una parisina temporal, de manera que habrás de aprender a mirar a la gente por encima del hombro y balbucear maldiciones para que nadie te entienda. No son los más encantadores del mundo, los parisinos. Y los entiendo, hasta cierto punto, porque debe ser un fastidio vivir rodeado de turistas. Para mí París es el aparador más grande del mundo, pero le falta espíritu; en mi opinión es un poco contradictorio que en París no encuentres verdaderas expresiones de "joie de vivre". Pero París no se parece a nada ni a nadie, de manera que hay que vivirlo. Estoy seguro que cuando vayas a Orsay te enamorarás del museo. A mí me parece de lo mejor que han hecho en esa ciudad. Y supongo que no dejarás de ir al barrio de la Défense. Una de las zonas más agradables y "trendies" es "Le Marais", que además ofrece caro y barato, mucho diseño y el "Georges Pompidou". Es una pena que ya no exista el "Café Costes", para el que Philippe Stark recibió su primera comisión importante y para el que diseñó las sillas "Costes", que ahora edita una firma italiana. Si buscas cosas para la cocina, camina por la zona de Les Halles. Y no dejes de ir a la isla de St. Louis y caminar por ahí y entrar a los cafecitos y las chocolaterías. Lo que no merece ni tantito la pena es plantarte en el tal Café de la Paix, que es demasiado caro y no sirve más que para las fotos. Pero tú ya verás tu propio París y habrás de contarlo. Y ojalá salgas a otras ciudades, porque es super diferente cuando sales de París. Si pudieras ir al norte, a Deauville, encontrarías una atmósfera de lo más interesante, como ir en la máquina del tiempo a principios del siglo XX. Muy cerca de allí hay un pueblo que se llama Honfleur -- de no creerse. Te encantaría. Lo mismo que ir a la frontera entre Normandía y Bretaña para visitar la abadía del monte St. Michel. Si te quedaras a dormir en alguno de sus hostales estoy seguro que tendrías una experiencia espiritual única, y encontrarías la oportunidad de poner en orden muchos pensamientos y muchas emociones. El tiempo es propicio para que lo hagas; verás el provecho que sacarás de esta experiencia. Perdona no haber escrito antes -- y perdona haber escrito tanto ahora. Ahhh… Paris. The place you have been dreaming about for so many years and now your dream has come true… you’re smack in the middle of it… eyes wide open. The food should be amazing.
