Tomorrow I am heading to Barcelona. Erwin, I am planning to stay at least a week, it was one of my primary points of interest. I was going to take the train (about 13 hours), and eventhough i have the Eurail pass I still have to pay 62 euros, and I found a flight for 75 euros, so I am flying, better 1.5 hours than 13!!!

I was born and raised in Mexico City and due to some life fluke I ended up moving to Canada to continue my design studies....that was 21 years ago!! Now I really love living in Vancouver and wouldn't want to move anywhere else, except maybe New York, Amsterdam, Rome or Barcelona, but only for a while. My current moto: When life gets hard, difficult, depressing and all looks like doom and gloom...dance! WOW it is the best medicine (second to travelling...) Now, I'm venturing to the unknown, baby steps, that's just like my precious (the little nephew).

Benvinguda a Barcelona! Estic segur que t'agradara molt! Other than "welcome to BCN", that means "I'm sure you'll like it a lot". I'm sending you a list of some of my favorite things to do and to eat in BCN, but I'll do that by email so as not to spoil the surprise of reading about your impressions. Last night I was walking up and down the streets of BCN in my mind, thinking of tips for you, and around 2:30AM I got out of bed to write everything down. Enjoy!
