Another night of Mexican Beauties

That time of the month. This time Marcela's mom and sister (Carmen y MaInes) are visiting the town, so we added another 2 Mexican Beauties to a night full of laughter and support and wow! awesome food...those little donuts are deadly Marga! and yuuumm,, brinquitos, directly form Mexico.

The table was set all in pink, for girls...how cute is that!

SPRING, SPRING, SPRING...!!!

I remember when I was a kid, learning about the seasons at school. We had to draw them. So spring we drew flowers, summer the sun and ocean, fall the orange trees and winter the snow.

In Mexico City the seasons are not like that (as far as I remember) but here in Vancouver each season is very different from the previous one, and all those changes - the flowers, the sun, the falling leaves and the snow - are part of life. That is one thing that i LOOOVE about this town!

So here are some pictures of some early flowering trees. In a week most of Vancouver's trees will be in full bloom, and it's quite the spectacle. I find it so beautiful and happy, it's like nature's popcorn, confetti, really gives the sense of new... it looks wonderful and sometimes smells really pretty.

There are lots of cherry trees with white or pink flowers, and one that I like a lot is the magnolia tree, the flowers are so elegant and fragile, they stand up like soldiers eventhough the petals are large and heavy. When they get tired, they rest and the flower looks like a funky frisbee and then they go. I love spring!
