SAFE LANDING!!!

13:14 (London time) 5:14 am (Vancouver time)
WEATHER: about 7 degrees, feels just like Vancouver
TIME: 7:50 pm (8 hours ahead of Vancouver)

the plane hit the landing strip uneventfully thanks God!! Though we hit 3 VERY ROUGH patches, I felt like a popcorn kernel, scaryyyy!

It left on time and arrived on time, great. I got a sit with a roughed farting naco that was determined to fight to the dead for some elbow room, so I moved to very last row of the plane
where there were 3 unoccupied sits. Besides being able to lie down for most of the flight, I
spared myself going blue on the face by having to hold my breath for almost 9 hours, gross!

The food was kind of gross, I didn't eat it all, imagine. It doesn't help that Dean and I went for
a great steak dinner a few hours earlier. I photocopied the last few chapters of Diablo Guardian
so I read for about 2 hours and then fell into the arms of Morpheos, though I kept thinking....I
want to fall asleep, I want to fall asleep, and then we landed. I think I slept because my eyes were appropriately swollen and had the pillow marked on my face.

I found a cheap flight to Copenhagen but had to stay in London for a night. Even with the hotel it was cheaper than buying most of the "cheap" airfaires I found. I guess it's good so I can rest, be quiet, pull myself together, have a shower and tomorrow, well rested I'll start the adventure. My danish friends Gunnar and Roxana are going to pick me up at the airport and I'll stay with them for a few days. From there I'll go somewhere, not sure where and the next stop is Paris....

The keyboards here are wrong! so if there are many mistakes please ignore them, the Brits don't know where to put the keyboard keys!

Well, so I made it here in one piece, I'll keep posting. Marga, would you really post my pics when I have them?

TIME TO GO

Well, well, so it's Monday almost at midnight. Just came back from a very delicious dinner at Ran and Reena's, Salmon, rice dish with cheese...soooo good, I have a rice ball in my belly, green beans with sesame seed and chocolate and wine. It was delicios and good to see my great friends, I guess they will have Carolina withdrawl, probably good as I'm sure they don't want to "overdose" on me.

Santa Clause, a.k.a. Dean gave me IPodNano for Christmas so I can carry all my music on my trip, awesome!! so if I run out of cash I'll turn it on, have my own karaoke and maybe I would get a Euro thrown into my bag, jajaja, or perhaps I'll just be thrown in jail for offending the pedestrians with my singing, hahaha.

I still have some work to do, not much, and then I'll go and pack. I'm not carrying much though that's difficult for me, and for 2 months, but I guess I will buy stuff if I need it. Tonight it's snowing in Vancouver, it's very cold, it's very sad.

I better stop and finish what I need to do!

TRIPPING

I wonder if anyone is going to read this at all...should it write in spanish? english? maybe german? because french just doesn't work in my brain. Anyway, I think that at least today I will be writing in English so both my spanish and english speaking friends and family can at least try understand what I say.

In Europe I've only been in London and Greece, so if you people know of great little gems to visit, eat, do in different countries please let me know, also if you have friends/family/or acquaintances that I could stay with in the following countries it will be greatly appreciated. Of course I have no idea where I will end up going to, as my plan is to let the winds of the world take me around the old continent. I am planning to go to visit friends and family in: Norway, Denmark, Holland, Madrid and Paris.
Your contacts would be great in Barcelona, Lisbon, Prague, Sweden, Budapest, Italy, Croatia or Timbuctu. I will be gone for at least 2 months and I know it's enough time to see EVERYTHING, I know that I could easily stay in one country for that lenght of time, so I might just do that.

I'll keep you posted!!!

Maybe I'm back!!!

Pues a peticion de Margita y Marcelita (don Agapo! jijiji) i'll try to keep up. Maybe now that I'm going on my long European vacation I'll be more diligent in posting updates on the blog, and will only send e-mail to the kind souls that reply....or not.
This has been a very trying year and it's time for a good, long break. I'll be indulging in an European winter which I hope is not too harsh so I can walk, and walk, and walk the streets of the cities I might end up visiting. I don't have a concrete plan except that I'll be spending Christmas with my cousing Bertha Elena who lives in Holland. She just had a baby girl and I'm really psyched to meet the new addition to the family.

I'm flying to London on November 29 and perhaps returning to Vancouver on February 1. I said perhaps as I am open to whatever comes my way, who knows, I might get a fabulous job somewhere ...... you never know. So I'll keep you all posted of where I am and what's going on with me. Maybe I'll use this as a journal etc. Well, I'm babbling now so I better go.
